Just wanted to share a new project I’ve been working on in Arlington, Virginia. Arlington is one of my favorite areas in the DC Metro. The suburb is minutes away from DC and the schools are excellent. It’s a place where people socialize with their neighbors. It’s also one of the only areas inside the DC Beltway where one can buy or build a new house. There are many restaurants and shops in close proximity, which makes it a unique suburb.
I started working with this couple six years ago, right after they were married and had purchased a new condo. We are now in the process of designing their new house and fortunately will be able to reposition everything from their condo. I always love working with repeat young clients because you can really help them avoid costly design mistakes. This house has 7000 sq. ft. so it’s much larger than their present condo. There are many decisions that need to be thought out before purchasing all the art, rugs, furniture, lighting and window treatments. I’ve finished the furniture floor plans for each room and now we’re in the final phase of the design process.
