I had the opportunity to spend most of last week at the High Point, North Carolina Design Market, which is an absolute Mecca for retail owners and designers in the United States.  There were over 2,000 furniture, art and accessories vendors showing off all of their merchandise in 180 buildings located throughout the town.  Around 80,000 retail owners and designers arrived to buy and see all the new pieces at the trade show.  In the next few posts I will be highlighting some of the trends I saw last week.

This year, it was all about the detailing in furniture.  We’re talking beautiful cording, tape, patterned nailheads and unique arm styles.  Take a look at some of the pictures I took of pieces that caught my eye.

I would love to use these pieces in a tween room.
