Today I’m traveling down to North Carolina; I’m excited to see all the new creations the furniture and accessory manufacturers have in store for us this spring. I’ll be posting a lot of pictures on my social media accounts so join me to see the latest trends with textiles, lighting, and furniture.
High Point, North Carolina Design Market, is an absolute Mecca for retail owners and designers in the United States. There will be over 2,000 furniture, art and accessories vendors showing off all of their merchandise in 180 buildings located throughout the town. Around 80,000 retail owners and designers arrive to buy and see all the new pieces at the trade show.
Also, I’m looking forward to spending the day with one of my favorite designers, Tobi Fairley. She was recently featured in Traditional Home magazine, which predicted that one day “Tobi will be like Cher or Oprah – one of those women for whom one name says it all.” She is presenting her Think Tank Seminar on Friday at the O’Henry Hotel near High Point. It’s always inspiring to be around so many talented designers and hearing their thoughts on the industry.
It will be fun sharing so many inspiring design trends with you over the next few days.
