Tips For Hosting A Stress Free Thanksgiving (8 more days)
Tip # 3
I always like to set up a kids table when I entertain, especially during Thanksgiving. There are so many reasonable fold-up tables available that can be easily stored in small spaces. If you already have a table, now is the time to get it out of storage and clean it.
Tip # 4
From my experience hosting friends with children, the kids eat quickly so it’s important to have a few activities on their table. Even if you have older kids you might want to throw in some table games. I love all of these cute ideas you could order from the Frog Prince Paperie.
Tip # 5
My favorite place card idea for Thanksgiving is having a box with a name tag placed at each setting. When your guests arrive have a station with paper where each can write why they are thankful for the people sitting next to them at dinner. The host gathers the notes and places them in each box before the meal. After everyone is seated each guest will open their box and read why someone is thankful for them. It’s a nice way to make everyone feel good before your meal is served. I found these cute boxes at one of my favorite places The Container Store.
If the place card idea I mentioned above seems a little complicated, another easy idea is to place small pumpkins with a cute name label on each plate. Here is an example from Recipe Girl. Check out her blog menu for so many yummy Thanksgiving recipes.
Remember my last tip about getting your linens ready. Just wanted to remind those of you who took them to the cleaners not to forget to pick them up.
Awesome, you are so far a head of the game, which is going to make Turkey Day very stress free.
