I think I can speak for most Washingtonians and we’re ready for spring. March can be a frustrating month for us because even though technically it’s spring we’re still not quite there! Usually, the cherry blossom trees are a good indication spring has finally sprung and their schedule to peak April 11th – 14th. April is a fun time to visit DC because outdoor living starts to take place in the city, and everybody seems to be in the best mood.
Usually, mid-April is a safe time to start pulling out cushions and cleaning your outdoor furniture. This spring I’ve been working on a project on the Chesapeake Bay. It’s a beautiful house with amazing views. We decided to do some fun outdoor pieces, which includes this cozy bed swing we had custom built.
We then started thinking cup holders would be nice to have on those lazy summer days so we had our builder add them to the swing.
There are so many choices with outdoor fabrics. For those who are close to me know I love sea turtles. These outdoor fabrics caught my eye by Thibaut.
Looking forward to sharing more photos of this project by the bay. Happy Spring!
